They will stay the night in the Machtesh- a geological formation unique to Israel.
Tonight they will be participating in a night hike under the full moon- because the ground is white the light will reflect back and illuminate the area- giving off the effect that it is daytime!
After camping out for the night they will continue the hike tomorrow at Ein Avdat. Throughout the hiking there is a strong emphasis on kvutsah bonding. They will also be talking about the desert and the significance of this space to the Jewish people and Zionism.
